Our premiere rental on Harbour Island: a spectacular, private beachfront home designed by an international team of architects and decorators and featured in the January/February 2009
edition of Elle Décor. Completed in 200, the house has eight bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms and large, graceful entering spaces.

The exterior is surrounded by wrapping plantation shuttered galleries and large terraces with sweeping ocean views. The more contemporary interior is built around four central courtyards which provide an indoor/outdoor connection from all th principal rooms.

There is a 30-foot heated infinity pool and a
magnificently landscaped 3-acre garden and palm grove. Tennis courts are
available at the Coral Sands Club, a 5-minute walk
away.

Pink Sands, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas, if not the world,
is accessed directly and privately through the palm grove. A beach deck with
umbrellas lies at the edge of the beach–the prefect spot for reading and relaxing.

Southern Cross is fully staffed. Our French chef prepares delicious meals using local and international ingredients and caters to the tastes and equirements of all the guests. Our manager organizes everything from pick-up from the airport to massages, scuba diving, fishing expeditions, and restaurant reservations. There is a gardener and two house maids who clean and tidy every day.

Powerboats are available on the island for a daily rental charge.
Guests can take a boat to explore the beautiful coral reefs and to picnic and
snorkel at the secluded bays only minutes from the Harbour Island dock.

Southern Cross has two large master bedroom suites with magnificent views across the property to the ocean. There are five additional double bedrooms, a dormitory, and a playroom. All the ground floor bedrooms have private balconies onto the shuttered galleries that surround the house.

There is a large library/television room. All the rooms are decorated with designer pieces and fabrics, luxury linens, and a wonderful collection of international art. The main living and dining area opens out to a large ocean-facing deck. A state-of-the-art audio system throughout the house holds more than 20,000 songs. A wireless network allows internet connection. There are flat-screen televisions in most bedrooms, the kitchen, and the library. The house has
central air-conditioning.
